Once a month, Hoedspruit gathers under the trees at The Farm House on Zandspruit Boulevard for the town’s favourite morning out. Run by the Kruger to Canyons (K2C) Biosphere, the market gives small-scale farmers, makers and artists from the region a place to sell, with the simple motto “From the Region, for the Region”.

What you’ll find
Every stall is vetted by the organisers, and the rule is simple: everything must be locally produced. You won’t find imported, mass-produced or chain-store goods here. Expect:
- Fresh produce from small-scale farmers in the region
- Food to eat there or take home, from breakfast and coffee to pantry and fridge goods
- Local skincare and natural products
- Craft, fashion, gifts and décor made by artists and makers from the area
The stall layout is curated by the organisers each month, so it’s always worth a full lap before you start buying.

Tips for your visit
- Come early. The market opens at 7:30am, before the heat, and popular stalls can sell out well before 1pm.
- Bring a shopping bag and a cooler box if you’re stocking up on fresh produce.
- Make a morning of it. Have breakfast at the market, then explore the shops at Zandspruit.
- Visiting on safari? It’s a great way to spend a morning between game drives, and the best place to find a gift that was actually made here.
- Bring the dog. Dogs are welcome at the market.
- Parking is plentiful, but the later you arrive, the further you may have to park and walk.
- Cards are fine. Most stalls take cards, but it’s worth carrying a little cash for the odd one that doesn’t.

Want a stall at the market?
The market is open to small-scale farmers, makers and artists from the K2C region selling quality, locally made goods. Applications are made through the K2C Biosphere and every stall is vetted. Not every application is accepted.
- 2026 stall fees: R190 powered, R170 non-powered, and R120 for small-scale farmers and registered NPOs. Fees increase from January 2027.
- Bring your own 3x3m gazebo (shade is limited), table and, if you need power, a long extension cord.
- No vehicles are allowed into the market area before 1pm, so plan to carry your equipment in.
